Una grew up in Malahide, and fulfilled her childhood dreams of becoming a vet when she qualified from UCD in 1994.
Following a year as House Surgeon in the UCD Vet Hospital, she moved to Cardiff in South Wales and spent several years with PDSA,in a busy charity clinic. The fast paced and challenging environment was a great training ground and Una gained valuable skills and experience in all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, including a spell as manager of the Swansea PDSA. But being away from home eventually took it's toll, and in 2013 Una moved back to Dublin with her husband and 2 children. She joined Anicare in 2016 and is based in our Botanic hospital. Una particularly enjoys emergency medicine and dermatology. In her spare time she loves exercising (Zumba is a favourite!) and singing with a choir.
