Niamh was born in and has lived in Dublin her entire life. She has always had a passion for animals both pets and wildlife and knew she would work with them in the future. She found her love for veterinary nursing volunteering abroad in a wildlife rehabilitation centre in South Africa. After returning home Niamh completed the animal care course in Killester college and went on to complete a degree in veterinary nursing in Dundalk institute of technology.
Following graduation Niamh joined the team at Clontarf Veterinary Hospital and enjoyed working here since. She particularly enjoys her role as a consulting nurse, helping clients to manage their pets health issues and encouraging preventative health measures. Niamh loves working with some of our more nervous patients where her gentle, reassuring manner calms them and allows us to give them the care they need.
At home, as in work, Niamh surrounds herself with animals, spending her time with her two dogs, a cat and two newts.
