Eimear is a native of Dublin where she lives with her parents and younger brother. She first came to our veterinary hospital with her dog Jessie. The Clontarf veterinary team made a lasting impression on Eimear and so the seed was sown – Eimear knew she would dedicate her life to the care and comfort of animals. Initially she completed a course in animal care at Killester College Dublin. Whilst studying in Killester Eimear did her work placement in Clontarf Veterianry Hospital where she quickly proved herself to be a perfect fit with the Clontarf team. Always a smiling face for our clients and a warm hand and heart for our pets. On foot of this she was welcomed into the Clontarf team full time when she qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse from Dundalk Institute of Technology in 2014 . Eimear has a particular interest in behaviour and welfare. She has fond memories of Alfie a cat who had sustained horrific head and mouth injuries resulting in him requiring a long stay in Clontarf Veterinary Hospital. Eimear’s one on one care played a big part in nursing Alfie back to full health. She recalls the bitter sweet moment of seeing this delightful cat whom she had grown so fond of happily returned to his home and family. Having been a client for over a decade, and experienced first hand the care and attention the practice gives to animals in its care, she now thoroughly enjoys giving that same care and one of a kind experience back to you – the Clontarf client. Outside of work Eimear enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the cinema and out for meals. She also enjoys music and watching TV in particular animal programmes such as Animal A&E and The Zoo. She also enjoys books on animal behaviour.
