Tracy hails from Glemore near Carlingford in Co Louth where she grew up with her three younger brothers and lots of dogs! She has always loved animals and enjoyed working with them. In the past she has worked on her uncle’s farm and with her local large animal veterinary practice where she was employed for eight years. She moved to Dublin in 2003 and joined Anicare Veterinary Group. Initially Tracy’s role was that of animal care assistant where she had a hands on part to play in the day to day care of Anicare’s patients.
Over the years Tracy’s role within the practice has evolved and she is now the receptionist come ‘practice manager’ in our Clontarf Veterinary Hospital. After many years working with us Tracy is on first name terms with most of Clontarf’s clients and their pets. Our regular clients will recognise Tracy as the first friendly face they see as they enter our clinic at 66 Malahide Road Clontarf. Tracy is always happy to answer your call, schedule your appointment, make up your pet’s repeat prescription or order food for you. As well as this Tracy ensures on a day to day basis that Clontarf Veterinary Hospital runs smoothly with her excellent practice management skills.
For Tracy, it is the overwhelming urge to take animals out of pain and into comfort that makes working at Clontarf a labour of love. There is nothing more rewarding than to see a “not-feeling-too-good” puppy or kitten return to the clinic a few weeks later back to their old selves. Outside of work Tracy loves caring for her cats Tequila and Jake. In her free time she enjoys reading, listening to music and going to gigs. She is also an ardent fan of Batman.
